Increase your mindfulness with this meditation

Those who live mindfully are happier. Only when you are truly relaxed, you are also satisfied on the outside. Through mindfulness, your actions become more focused and you control your life yourself. Mindfulness affects all areas of life.

You can increase your mindfulness with the following exercise:

Sit down in a quiet place where you are completely undisturbed. Close your eyes and consciously pay attention to your breath. At the beginning you will notice that your breath is irregular. If you count along in your mind, your inhale will be a different length than your exhale. Do not force a regular breath. Breathe calmly and slowly until your breath automatically aligns and you inhale for the same length of time as you exhale.

Breathing consciously is one of the most important exercises in mindfulness training. In everyday life, we usually tend to breathe too shallowly. If you consciously observe and perceive your breath, you can sharpen your awareness of it and actively counteract situations in which it becomes stressful.
