When the shoulder hurts, the suffering of those affected is usually very high, because the mobility of the arm is significantly restricted. The pain can have very different causes. We have summarized some of them:
Calcareous shoulder:
In calcific shoulder, calcium deposits in the tendons of the shoulder, which can lead to inflammation and pain. The exact cause is still unclear, but it is thought that reduced blood flow and an associated lack of oxygen may play a role. Calcified shoulder can be treated with conservative measures such as physiotherapy, anti-inflammatory medications, or even matrix rhythm therapy (which we offer).
Frozen Shoulder:
Frozen shoulder is a painful condition in which the shoulder joint stiffens and mobility is restricted. The joint capsule is transformed into connective tissue and shrinks at the same time. Immobilization of the shoulder can be a risk factor for this. Frozen shoulder is usually treated with physiotherapy, painkillers and anti-inflammatory drugs.
