Exercises for a loose jaw

Headaches, worn enamel and thus permanently damaged teeth - this is what can really happen if you bite your jaws together for a long period of time.

In addition to a dental splint to prevent grinding at night, it is also important to relax the jaw muscles and thus relax all structures.

There are exercises for that! Take a look here:

-> Place your index finger and thumb edge at a right angle to your lower jaw, hooking your chin, so to speak. Pull your lower jaw down as far as possible and hold the stretch for 20 seconds. 5 repetitions.

-> Place your fingertips (without those of the thumb) under the cheekbone. Now apply slight pressure to the cheek and slowly pull your fingers towards the edge of the lower jaw. As your fingers move down, your mouth slowly opens. 5 times in succession.

-> Move your lower jaw repeatedly to the left, right, front and back. You can also do this in circular movements. You can do this exercise well in between.
