Electrotherapy basically makes use of the three special applications

Iontophoresis

In iontophoresis, active ingredients from ointments (e.g. to reduce swelling or pain) are introduced into the tissue by means of direct current.

Electrical muscle stimulation

Electrical muscle stimulation is a stimulation current therapy. Weakened muscles are stimulated by weak alternating current with low frequency. It is mainly used after longer periods of immobilization.

Ultrasound therapy

Ultrasound therapy is a branch of physical therapy or electrotherapy. It helps relieve pain and supports the body's own self-healing process.
